Presentation on Automating Water Supply Systems

On the ocassion of “World Water Day 2023”, “Rainwater Harvesting: Adressing Water Security and Climate Impacts,” was organized by Smart Water Solutions and WaterAid on March 19–20, 2023, in conjunction with the Ministry of Water Supply and in partnership with the High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization, Town Development Fund, IRHA, Global Peace Foundation Nepal, Diyalo Technologies, BSP, WWF, and ERNC.

Discussion topics included Water Security, Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting, and Legal and Policy Instruments on Water Security. The solution for smart water management implemented at Tokha Brihat khanepani tatha sarsafai upabhokta samiti was officially launched on October 18th 2022, at the Indreni Banquet in Samakhusi. The event was attended by 50+ participants from different Water Supply User Committees (WSUC) operating in the Bagmati Province, as well as specialists in water management and technology, attended the event.

As the chief guest, Mr. Prakash Adhikari, Mayor of Tokha Municipality, as well as Mr. Saligram Poudel (Program Director of Urban Water), Mr. Dhanha Magar (Technical Coordinator of Oxfamnepal), Mr. Purna Bahadur Kunwar (IT – KUKL), Er. Laxmi Jha (Nepal Water Supply Corporation), and Chairman of Tokha Ward 2 & 3 all attended the event.
